How to install

  1. Click Download for Windows above and save the installer.
  2. Run ChequePrint Setup 1.0.0.exe. Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" SmartScreen warning — this is normal for a new app that hasn't yet built up download history with Microsoft, not a sign anything's wrong. Click More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Follow the installer — it adds a Start Menu shortcut and (optionally) a desktop icon.
  4. Open ChequePrint and log in with your existing account. Everything — banks, cheques, reports — is exactly as it is on the web app, since both talk to the same account.
Do I need to install this, or can I keep using the web app?

Totally optional. The web app at app.cheque-print.in has every feature and needs no installation. The desktop app is for people who print cheques often and want a dedicated app window, a taskbar icon, and more reliable native printing.

Does it work offline?

No — it's a lightweight app that connects to the same live ChequePrint servers as the web version, so it needs an internet connection, same as the web app.

Is my data separate from the web app?

No, it's the same account and the same data. Print a cheque on desktop, see it instantly on the web app (and vice versa) — there's nothing to sync.

Why does Windows show a security warning when I run the installer?

The installer isn't yet signed with a paid Windows code-signing certificate, so SmartScreen shows a caution prompt for any new, low-download-count app — this is standard for new independent software, not a sign of a problem. Click "More info" → "Run anyway" to proceed.
